I just moved up from Chattanooga Tn recently and had not gotten established with a Dentist yet. I lost a filling out of one of my front teeth so my sister had recommended this group. I called made the appointment and when I went for the filling I spoke to the Dentist about concerns of the way my 2 front teeth looked and ask if maybe we could Cap the two front teeth instead of replacing the filling. He agreed so I left with an amazing smile that day and look forward to ( instead of dreading) my next appointment. So pleasantly pleased.

Jake Shelburne, D.D.S.

Dr. Jake Shelburne originates from Snowville Virginia, a small country town in the New River Valley. He has known dentistry was for him ever since he broke his front tooth at 8 years old. Jake went on to graduate from Radford University and then received his DDS from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2021. After dental school, Dr. Shelburne completed a year long Advanced General Dentistry Residency at the Appalachian Highlands Community Dental Center. He has found a passion for comprehensive dental care and enjoys practicing all facets of dentistry, including dental implants. Outside of office hours Dr. Shelburne enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, and all things outdoors.

Carter Mullins, DDS

Dr. Carter Mullins joined as an associate in June 2023. He was born and raised in Bristol, TN. He graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2018 with a bachelor’s in psychology and from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Dentistry in 2023. Dr. Mullins enjoys being on the lake, hiking golfing, and spending time with family. He has been married to his high school sweet-heart for 5 years and they had their first baby girl in August. Dr. Mullins is a general dentist and a member of the ADA. He lives in Bristol and is glad to be back serving the region he grew up in.
